The Signs of the Times 04-07-98 The Sabbath of the Lord. No. 2 -PR- 12

God is true. He reigns, and will reign, notwithstanding that the church
and the world have entered into a confederacy to abolish His law. Age after
age Satan has been blinding men by his wiles. He has co-operated with human
agencies in an effort to make falsehood truth. He has worked with intensity
to defy the God of heaven by making His law of none effect. But he has not
done this; for in the ark of God in heaven are the tables of stone upon which
are written the precepts that are the foundation of His government. And the
Sabbath, which God declares to be the sign of the loyalty of His people, is
placed in the bosom of the Decalogue. Its sanctity reaches into eternity; for
God declares that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to
another, His subjects shall come up to worship before Him in the earth made
new.

This paragraph tells us that Ellen White recognizes that the sabbath and the new moon are "in the bosom of the Decalogue" and that satan has changed the sabbath commandment, but it is not altered on the tables of stone. This intimates that we do not have the correct fourth commandment, something has been altared to embrace a lie.

Ellen White tells us in the sanctuary in heaven we will meet "in the sanctuary from Sabbath to Sabbath, from one new moon to another, to unite in loftiest strains of song, in praise"

In the time of the end every divine institution is to be restored. The breach made in the law at the time the Sabbath was changed by man, is to be repaired. Elohim's remnant people, standing before the world as reformers, are to show that the law of Elohim is the foundation of all enduring reform and that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment is to stand as a memorial of creation, a constant reminder of the power of Elohim. In clear, distinct lines they are to present the necessity of obedience to all the precepts of the Decalogue. Constrained by the love of the Messiah, they are to cooperate with Him in building up the waste places. They are to be repairers of the breach, restorers of paths to dwell in. See verse 12.

Isaiah 58:12
And they that  shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called; The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Here we see that Ellen White tells us that the breach in the law was in the sabbath commandment, rather the fourth commandment.

The fourth commandment begins with Exodus 20:8

This first verse was changed by man to say.

Mark even day the shabat to quodesh it.

By logical conclusions the original that is in the ark in heaven and in the ark still guarded by two holy angels, the tables  of stone have to say to be consistent with evidence and logic,

Mark even day the new moon, to quodesh it.

Mark even the day of the new moon, to consecrate it.

The Jewish leader would receive reports of the watchers of   the moon, and when satisfied that the new moon had arrived would say "the new moon is  consecrated" and usually two or three present would repeat after him, "the new moon is consecrated".

Jeremiah 8:8   How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Yahweh is  with us?  Lo, the false pen of the scribes have falsified them and written them wrong.

Here we see scriptural backing of what Ellen White tells us of, namely the breach in the law of Yahweh at the time the shabat was changed by man.

Ezekiel 46:1
  Thus saith Yah-Yahweh  The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east, shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new-moon it shall be opened.
2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of [that] gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.
3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before Yahweh in the sabbaths and in the new moons.
4 And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto Yahweh in the sabbath day [shall be] six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish.
5 And the meat offering [shall be] an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
6 And in the day of the new moon [it shall be] a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.
7 And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

Here we see that the New Moon is a bigger and holier day than the seventh, because in addition to the seventh day sabbath offerings, a very special and large and expensive animal is offerered, a young bullock.

Isaiah 58:13
13 ¶ If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yahweh, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words:

Isaiah 58:14
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yahweh; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Yacob thy father: for the mouth of Yahweh hath spoken [it].

Dear friends this sabbath, is the day of the new moon that the fourth commandment begins with that is more holy and special  than the seventh day sabbath, if we are not keeping the new moon according to Isaiah 58:13-14, then we are breaking the law of the fourth commandment.

Here we can conclude that the new moon is also a "Sabbath", but it is not the seventh day sabbath, but is greater than as the male leader of the passive four sabbaths that fall every 7th day on the day the new moon Marks out. "Mark even the day of the new moon, to consecrate it." Exodus 20:8

The Question Before Us Now. --The Sabbath question is to be the issue in the great final conflict, in which all the world will act a part. Men have honored Satan's principles above the principles that rule in the heavens. They have accepted the spurious sabbath, which Satan has exalted as the sign of his authority. But God (Yahoo Elohim) has set His seal upon His royal requirement. Each Sabbath institution, both true and false, bears the name of its author, an ineffaceable mark that shows the authority of each.

What principles that rule in the heavens? His moon which he appointed for moedim, or for appointments.Marking   when time begins, each month refreshing the weekly cycle, so that the 2nd day of the moon is the first of the six working days.

Psalms 104:19
He made the moon for seasons(moed-appointments): the sun reveals its entrance.

Three components of the law,
1. Marking of the new moon, [blow up the trumpet to announce it],
2. Work six days, and finish it.
3. Rest on the seventh day sabbath, and do no work.

Five Sabbaths are in a month or moon.
Four 7th day Sabbaths occur in a moon after the New moon Sabbath
New Moon Sabbath is the 1st day of the Moon.
Then 7 days later the first        7th day sabbath on the    8th day of the Moon.
Then 7 days later the second 7th day sabbath on the  15th day of the Moon.
Then 7 days later the third      7th day sabbath on the 22nd day of the Moon.
Then 7 days later the fourth   7th day sabbath  on the  29th day of the Moon.

Isaiah 66:23   And it shall come to pass, that from one new-moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith Yahweh.

The Fourth commandment tells us of two different shabats, the new moon shabat and the 7th day shabat.

This means sanctify  the day of the new moon and consecrate it as the beginning of the month, as the day of the shabats for this month. then work six days and finish it. and keep the seventh  day of His lunar weeks as a shabat rest from the six working days, following His example laid down in creation week.  The Hebrew priest understood it this way as when obsevation of the moon showed the New Moon had arrived, would state, the new moon is consecrated. Those present would repeat after him "The New Moon is Consecrated".
Compare Deuteronomy 12:5 and see the Strong's definitions at the end of this paper.

Here we can see three components of the law,

2. then work six days,
3. then the seventh day sabbath rest.

To the law and to the testimony if they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20

Ezekiel 46:1 is incorrect if there is no reference in the testimony and law. But there is.

"Mark it, even the day, of the Shabat, to consecrate it." Read below #2342 & 2145 for" zakar(as being the most noteworthy) as the new moon is the primary Shabat marking the beginning of time.
(the new moon is the male, the leader of the 4 passive weekly sabbaths of the month, marking "even-namely" the day)

In Deut. 5:12 the first word is "shamar" Observe, watch for  it, then it is identical to Exodus 20:8 with an added phrase, 'as Yahweh your elohim hath commanded you.'
"Observe it, even the day, of the Shabat, to consecrate(khodesh) it."

He calls the new moon "The Shabat" because all sabbaths will fall upon this day, marking the beginning of time for this month. 'Mark the new moon day, work six days, rest the seventh.'

"Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work."
(the next sentence begins with "vav" the Hebrew symbol for the word meaning "and").

"And the seventh day is a Sabbath of Yahweh Elohim, in it  thou shalt not do any work."
(notice "a sabbath" as there is not a  prefix to the word "shabat" as in verse 8, with "he" meaning "the", or "the primal marking new moon shabat", as new moon is an intermission day from the week days, marking at its ending the beginning of the new set of four lunar weeks.)

Three components of the law,
1. Marking of the new moon, [blow up the trumpet to announce it],
2. Work six days, and finish it.
3. Rest on the seventh day sabbath, and not any work,  we should do.

Four 7th day Sabbaths occur in a moon, New moon sabbath,
Then 7 days later the first 7th day sabbath on the 8th day of the Moon.
Then 7 days later the second 7th day sabbath on the 15th day of the Moon.
Then 7 days later the third 7th day sabbath on the 22nd day of  the Moon.
Then 7 days later the 29th day of the Moon is the last or fourth and dark 7th day sabbath.

The New Moon determines when the times (weeks) are. But the Seventh-day Shabat does not determine when the New Moon is. The New Moon is all important as the establisher of the week days feast days sabbath days, and The Holy of Yahweh, Honorable.

Isaiah 58:13

-- The Most High is challenging us to keep the new moon "as the holy of Yahweh, honoring Him" He is challenging us to see if He will not elevate us up to feed upon Yacob's heritage. Abraham's Farm.

Isaiah 58:14

Here we see that work is not forbidden, we may cook food and eat, kindle a fire, find pleasure and delight ourselves in happiness in our Creator as He dwells in us, and someday eat the new fruit of the tree in the place of renouwn, Abraham's farm, that  part of the earth that has been purified, future, after His feet touch the mount of olives and it becomes cleansed, like His touch purified leprosy from the lepars, His feet that appears to be burning like fire will cleanse away the leprosy sin has made.

Conclusion: Here we see that on the day of the new moon in addition to the sabbath offerings one more is included, a young bullock, showing that the day of the new moon is The Primary Shabat above and setting the timing of the 7th day shabats, as Exodus 20:8 shows and means The New Moon Shabat is The foundation of the Shabats for the lunar cycle.
Psalms 8:3
3 ¶ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
Psalms 81:3
3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
Psalms 89:37
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

Jeremiah 8:8   How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Yahweh is  with us?  Lo, the false pen of the scribes have falsified them and written them wrong.
As the following shows us that the New Moon Sabbath has been obscured or hidden by falsely translating the law of ten.

Isaiah 66:23   And it shall come to pass, that from one new-moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith Yahweh.

Here we can see two components of the law
1. worship before Yahweh on the day of the new moon.
2. worship before Yahweh on the day seventh, sabbath of rest.

Ezekiel 46 and Isaiah  66:23 both show us that the new moon has always been and always will be connected with the 7th day sabbath as  a worship day. As the correct interpretation and understanding of Exodus 20:8 and Deuteronomy 12:5 both show us.

Prophets and Kings (see just above) - "The breach made in the law at the time the Sabbath was changed by man, is to be repaired."

Dear friends, this quote of Ellen White tells us that the 4th commandment was changed by man and is to be repaired.
The repair is this-

"Mark even day The New Moon to consecrate it"-Exodus 20:8
Work six days  and finish it, and the 7th day is a Shabat unto Yahweh your Elohim... --- Thus the pattern is laid down in the 4th commandment, "Keep the day of the New Moon as The Holy of Yahweh honorable, work six days, rest the 7th, work six days, rest the 7th, work six days, rest the 7th, work six days, rest the 7th, and then observe and "Mark" the day of the next New Moon, and repeat the Divinely laid down pattern, written on the tables of stone now hidden in the ark,  guarded by two Holy Angels, as apparently  the only record remaining on earth of the orginal Law of ten.

So, by repairing the original, that is, it is apparant, the the original ten commandments had the words "new moon" instead of "the shabat" in Exodus 20:8. The evidence provides sufficient proof that The New Moon is a greater day than the 7th day, and has to be "The New Moon" in Exodus that was replaced by man with The Shabat, and in time became less and less important as it was forgotten that the original law said New Moon. But Jewish tradition still continues to "consecrate the day of the new moon"
